Building Stronger Nonprofit Boards

How can you collaborate with your board of directors in the most effective and productive way? In this course, participants will gain actionable strategies and best practices to develop and strengthen their boards. Nonprofits with strong, healthy boards—alongside dedicated staff—have the best chance for success. Participants will learn how to promote effectiveness, passion, and positive growth at this critical level of volunteer engagement, covering everything from the big picture to the finer details.

Acquiring these skills can foster a positive culture both within the organization and in its external interactions, which is essential for achieving your organization’s mission.

Earn a Digital Badge

You will receive a digital badge upon the successful completion of this program. Earn a badge for each core course in this series. Complete all four courses within two years, and you will be awarded the Nonprofit Leadership Certificate Completion Badge. This badge will showcase your advanced expertise in nonprofit leadership.

  • Stacy Shapiro

    Stacy Shapiro is founder and President of Shapiro Strategies, a consultant and training firm. She received a B.A. in Communication Arts from the University of WI – Madison with emphases in Business and Psychology. Stacy has over 30 years of combined leadership experience and has held various leadership roles nationwide, including serving as a Regional Director for the American Heart Association in Salt Lake City, UT, as well as the Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters in La Crosse, WI.

    In her current work, Stacy passionately encourages organizations and businesses of all kinds to focus on maintaining a healthy, unified work culture, forward-thinking agency and business development, positive communications, and pursuing excellence…all while setting a mission- and values-driven course for the future.

CEU Information

Participants will earn 0.6 Continuing Education Units ( 6 Contact Hours) upon completion of this program.

You may transfer once to any currently available program, plus a 20% transfer fee.
If you cancel, you will not receive a refund.

If you are registered and do not attend the program, you are responsible for the full fee.
