Reduce stress and burnout in your team

The only constant in work and life is change, and that is especially true in this current work environment. Team members’ resilience is continually being challenged and leaders are discovering they and their team members don’t have the necessary skills to work through the nearly constant disruption and change. Leaders are looking for practical tools and strategies to apply now to build teams and organizations that are able to withstand adversity, bounce back from disruption and successfully navigate through change.

We begin this workshop by sharing some of the work-related factors that team members are experiencing that can lead to stress and burnout. We’ll list strategies leaders can employ to help them and their team members identify their stress triggers, manage their stress, and reduce burnout. We will learn about the characteristics of resilient people and how to build resilience in team members and embed it in your organization's culture. We’ll also discuss strategies to motivate and energize individual team members to work through a change so they can help themselves successfully navigate through change in the future.

After participating in this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the work-related factors that team members are experiencing that are making an impact on their stress levels and leading to burnout.
  • Apply techniques to help team members identify stress triggers, manage stress, and reduce burnout.
  • Use targeted coaching questions and other techniques to help team members boost their resilience.
  • Identify opportunities to build a more resilient organization.
  • Apply strategies to effectively coach team members through a change so they are able to successfully embrace the “new” and be ready to tackle the next change.

This course can be taken individually or as part of the Supervisory Management Certificate Program. This is an elective course. Take three core classes plus three electives in five years to earn your certificate.
