Better Understand the Difficult Behaviors in Children
Children who were once called rambunctious or narcissistic are now being better understood. With emerging research, we now know that this behavior can be attributed to a condition called Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). ODD is a psychological condition characterized by a consistent pattern of argumentative, defiant, hostile, and unruly behavior.
Children who are struggling with ODD can have frequent and intense tantrums, blame others for their problematic behaviors, and have difficulty maintaining emotional self-control. Long-term outcomes for children diagnosed with ODD can be include school failure, problematic interpersonal relationships, and delinquency.
This virtual program will present ODD from an evidence-based perspective. Participants will learn diagnostic indicators, associated features, developmental trajectories, and prevalence of ODD. You will learn evidence-based treatment methods.
